I’m sick, at least somewhat, possibly early stages of the flu. I generally go through the holidays at least 20-30% sick, anyway. (constant sniffles, I should own stock in whomever makes Puffs) In an odd twist, I’ve found that I can be more productive at home. (to a limited degree, sometimes I have to do stuff with hardware that’s at work and you must be in front of it) This is not something I expected since I normally slack all to hell if I’m not feeling direct pressure to get things done. VPNs are cool.

The migration is proceeding, albeit slowly because of the day job. Tonight I’ll be putting together the new mail delivery hub and the user mail storage system. This whole thing is pretty important since our last upgrade of this magnitude was well over 5 years ago, and we don’t want to screw this up. DHP turns 10 in a couple of days, and we’ve come a long way from the 28.8 modem in our dining room. (our new space is a full rack with 5 megabits of connectivity, around 2500 times more bandwidth)
As things progress over the next couple of months a lot of cool new services will come online, not just user-visible, but under the hood as well. If anyone is looking for webhosting or colo space we can hook you up.
As a side note, blogging from the phone makes me realize how much I suck at Grafitti. ![]()
Ok, I’ve heard of distracted driving but this is ridiculous.
The woman in question was pulled over for breast feeding her 7-month old daughter while driving down the Ohio Turnpike at 65mph. Her defense? She’s required by her religious beliefs to strictly obey her husband’s commands, which in this case she received via cell phone. (Score another point for distracted driving) I guess he must have ordered her to keep driving too, since she didn’t pull over. She was only convicted on child-restraint laws and not child endangerment. Her sentence? 1 month of house arrest and a 300 dollar fine. I suspect if she had been driving on US101 (Or if you’ve seen Matrix Reloaded, The Freeway) she and her daughter would be dead right now.
My second pass at a startup is much better than my first, but it’s taking its toll…

So this is a test from my phone. This is somewhat cumbersome but it seems to work.
Hi. Now I’m updating this entry to see if the update shows up on LJ.
